How to ensure your Dinner Date is successful

For me the first dinner date is the most romantic time in a blossoming relationship. No matter how close you are or how unknown you are to each other, a successful dinner date will surely make your relationship stronger.

Now the question arises how to make a successful dinner date? Let’s break this down into 4 areas;

Venue: the choice of the venue is very important. You can choose to go to a restaurant, sit outside, or maybe you can even opt for a picnic under the stars. Try not to choose a new restaurant that you have not been too before. Choose one where you have already been before, know the food is good or have had rave reviews from all your friends.

Dress to Impress: Dress well, smell good and most importantly arrive on time. Dress nicely and do not overdo anything. Look fresh and happy. Do not arrange a date unless you are relaxed and willing to go.

Food: order less complicated food which can be eaten easily and most important your date is not allergic to it. It is not a good look if you have to slurp that spaghetti meatball and end up wearing it all over your white shirt or worse your dates outfit.

Communicating: The only way you will improve a dinner date is by communicating with your partner. If you use this opportunity to really let your partner know how you feel about him/her and your relationship, this will make your partner feel good. But no bad or negative things! A balance here is important, try not to sound desperate but interested in the other person all the same.

After the date do not forget to thank your date for the lovely time spent together. It’s important to give a call back later and gives you the opportunity to arrange your next date.

We know everybody presents their polished side on their first date and our dating etiquette tips may be a mere revision.
